- Up-cycled, one-of-a-kind (OOAK) embellished waistcoat
A gender neutral piece for all seasons, intended to be practical, durable and easy to wear, with a colourful and unique flare. Functionality and beauty interwoven.
- The base is a thrifted, second-hand 90's vest/waistcoat
- Cotton in a fine soft brown corduroy
- Fully lined in a tan and cream pinstripe polyester/viscose
- Front lapels and 4 antiqued-looking metallic buttons close the front
- Two front pockets that button closed and back waistcoat button detailing at the waistline
- Hand embellished by Patron of Dreams, with a salvaged, vintage, hand-embroidered and mirrored (authentic mirrors), Banjara textile across the back. The Banjara are a historically nomadic trading tribe of people who originate from Rajasthan.
- These textiles were ethically sourced and hand picked. Note: These textiles are very old and have travelled a long distance with many stories. Often these textiles are sewn on to garments and then later taken off and used on another garment again and again. For this reason, they may show some small defects and imperfections from time and wear from their adventures. I have taken care to source pieces in very good condition, but their small imperfections are part of their journey, mystery and charm.
- The waistcoat is in excellent second-hand condition.
- Size "women's" Medium.
- Measurements: Chest/bust is 40" around (plus a little extra bust room), waist is 36" around, bottom edge is 38" around, shoulder to bottom edge is 23".
- CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Use a steamer to re-fresh and neutralize any bacteria or dust mites. Use a damp cloth to spot wash as necessary. If full laundering is needed, I recommend avoiding water so textile colours don't run, and dry clean only.
